  1. Dave, thanks for the thoughtful &qoii;crottque&quut; of Arjen's image. I appreciate that you spent much time on what was "right" given the tools he had at his disposal at the time he made it. Back in the day as a student, I always dreaded the classroom critique because it always felt like it was used to tear down and deflate instead of a tool for learning and growing. Of course it's easy to pick out the bad right off, but your approach reminds me that it's also important to see what's good in an image along with what could be improved the next time out.
